WOW! The first week of kindergarten is complete. Our year is off to a great start - I'm proud of every student in my class! Always, if you need to contact me please email. For additional forms of communication including a text-like feature, we will set up SeeSaw during Open House on Sept. 11th.
A few things I want to let you all know:
● Our classroom jobs rotate weekly. If your child is the "Ambassador" for the week I will let you know. On Friday, the ambassador can bring in three items from home to share with the class.
● Please only pack one snack for your child to eat at snack time if you choose to pack your own. Snack is only for 10 minutes, and multiple snacks makes it challenging to finish!
● Please send in a picture of your family! We will display these in our room.
Some things we learned and practiced this week...
● Sharing.
● Getting to know one another.
● Speaking in front of the class and taking turns.
● Peace- how it sounds, looks, and feels.
● Using manipulatives and blocks.
● Letter names and sounds.
● Numbers up to 20.
● Kid writing - drawing thoughts on paper and using single letters and lines to represent words.
● Learning the proper use of crayons, markers, and glue sticks.
